Greetings on behalf of the Executive Board of the Security Council of VHMUN 8!
I am Nihal Bin Nizar, an engineering student from CEC, and probably the most unconventional MUN’er you’ve ever met. I combine an unsettling intuition for tactics with bizarre alliance-forging talents. I have been a part of different MUN’s in various capacities. I have participated in over 50 MUN’s in Dubai, Hong Kong and Indian Circuits and have a stellar track record across them all. I take pride in speaking on principle, taking the humanitarian point of view and not taking deception lightly. I strongly believe in the notion: ‘where there is disagreement, there is debate’.
I believe MUNs are the means through which we, the future, carve out our ideas in the present. Voicing opinions is an integral part of humanity – this is what provides us with individuality. We are taught to add fuel to the flame of knowledge, to intensify its burning.
Most of the time at SC we try to stay positive and think of a better world but the reality is harsh and cannot be ignored. I strongly believe that we all can be a part of a solution instead of being a problem. So delegates, buckle up and be ready for rigorous debates.
After hosting seven editions successfully, we assure you of a much better and bigger conference this year.
See you all at the committee.
Nihal Bin Nizar,
My name is Nathan Joshua Menezes and it is an absolute honour to serve as your Co-Chairperson for VHMUN 8!
Not too long ago, I found myself in my first suit, nervous, anxious and equally enthusiastic to attend my first Model United Nations Conference, VHMUN 4. I cannot guarantee you that MUN will change the world however; I can guarantee that a MUN will change you.
A little bit about myself, I am currently studying at St. Xavier’s Junior College, making me one of the youngest Executive Board members in this edition. I am a passionate debater and a lover of the law, be it national or international. I will strive to ensure that every delegate takes away something valuable from this conference as I can proudly say that Model United Nations has given me more than I could have possibly believed. I will always be open to your questions, guiding you and assisting you throughout the conference. I expect concrete research, fierce debate and fruitful solutions. I want you delegates to strike the perfect balance of disruptive diplomacy.
“Diplomacy is the art of letting someone else have it your way”
Aspire to inspire.
