I am Hamza Maste and I am in equal parts proud and honoured to be your Secretary General. I welcome you to VHMUN 7. I feel humbled, having started my MUNing career from the very organisation I represent today.
I am currently pursuing my B.Sc. in Business and Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science. I have organised and attended numerous events and conferences pan India, mostly as a young and aspiring delegate just as you. Apart from the UN and its virtue, my interests lie in regional Indian politics and investments in intriguing business models.
Climate change, similar to the political situation we operate in today, is more vulnerable than we previously imagined. It gives me great honour to inform you that VHMUN 7 will be our best effort yet to create an environmentally sustainable and enriching conference.
Having stood where you stand today, I had always questioned how my interest in the UN could be carried forward in the things we do every day, how much of a difference do we make? A lot!
We will do well to learn, by the end of this conference, that together not only is this nation, this organisation, but even you are a force to be reckoned with.
